The treatment
Sports massage supports athletes through every stage of their sporting life: preparation, competition and recovery. It helps you approach every performance in the best way while keeping your muscles healthy.
The technique supports cool-down and recovery after exertion, so the muscles regain their elasticity and strength more quickly. Combined with stretching, sports massage helps keep the muscles healthy and ready for increasingly demanding training sessions and races.
You do not need to be a professional: it is useful for people who compete, people who run and people who simply go to the gym.

Benefits
These are the main benefits of the sports massage given by Mihail Crigan, and you notice them more with regular sessions.
It works on the knots that form with training and competition, giving the muscles back their elasticity.
After exertion it stimulates the cool-down process and helps the muscles shake off fatigue.
Treated muscles regain elasticity and strength more quickly between one training session and the next.
Looking after your muscles regularly helps limit the overload that can lead to tears and injuries.
Before a competition it eases the tension caused by adrenaline and brings calm and motivation.
Loose, well-recovered muscles let you give your best in training and competition.
Who it is for
In sport, good results take talent, determination, discipline and a body that is carefully looked after. After hours of training and competition the muscles suffer from fatigue and overload and perform less well: sports massage helps limit the damage.
For people who train for many hours and take part in competitions: the massage supports preparation, competition and recovery.
For people who run regularly and want to recover better between training sessions.
Even if you train without competing, you put your muscles under strain: the massage helps keep them in shape.
You play a five-a-side match giving it everything, a few days later another one, and then another: soon your calves or quadriceps start to ache. If you carry on like this, you even risk a muscle tear and several months off. Having sports massages regularly helps reduce this risk.
If the knots are already painful, the deep tissue massage can help; if the tension is concentrated in your neck and shoulders, discover the neck massage too.
The stages
Sports massage adapts to the moment of the competition: this is how it works in the three stages.
When you are getting ready for a competition, adrenaline and nerves can cause muscle tension. The pre-event massage works on the athlete's body and mind, bringing calm and motivation.
During breaks it is useful to massage the athlete and do some stretching, to release part of the muscle tension that has built up.
After the competition it is important to treat the muscles to support circulation and recovery. Cooling oils bring the athlete relief and support full recovery.
The session
At your first sports session Mihail starts from the sport you play and when your next competition is. The work is not the same before and after exertion: before, you need preparation; after, you need recovery. The session then follows four steps, always with Mihail Crigan in person.
Mihail Crigan asks what sport you play, how you train, when your next competition is and where you feel fatigue or pain.
Sports massage and stretching, with 100% pure organic oils; after a competition, cooling oils too.
You get advice and stretching exercises to add to your training routine.
If the complaint needs a closer assessment, a consultation with a physiotherapist and a physiatrist is possible, thanks to the collaboration with Dr Oriano Casamenti of STUDIO RONEFOR.
How often should you have it? The frequency is assessed case by case with Mihail Crigan, based on your training and competitions. If the massage is used to treat knots and aches, the rule for pain-focused massages applies: at least 3 days between sessions, so no more than two a week; for relaxing massages there is no real limit.
