Why it pays off
For muscle pain a single massage brings relief, but the longest-lasting benefits come with continuity. In Mihail Crigan's experience, people aged 18 to 40 who are physically active usually need about 5 sessions, and people aged 40 to 65 about 10.
For massages that target pain, such as deep tissue massage or neck massage, at least 3 days should pass between sessions: with two sessions a week, a pack of 10 covers about five weeks.
The pack is also useful if you alternate different techniques, for example starting with manual lymphatic drainage and continuing with Maori massage, as recommended for cellulite.
For a birthday, an anniversary, a celebration or simply to say thank you, a massage is an alternative gift for the well-being of your loved ones. You can give a single session or the pack of 10 massages.
